Moorland course Legends Golf Course is fun to play because it is different than traditional course with a Par of 72. The challenge at Moorland rests primarily with its greens, which are among the largest and most undulating in SC. This course measures 6,799 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 128 and a 73.1 course rating.
Dye pulls out all the stops at Moorland: massive areas of natural growth, sand, water, and waste areas. The course emits the influence of the PGA West Stadium Course. Each hole is unique in layout and approach and will create lasting memories. One of which is the controversial par-4 16th hole, nicknamed “Hell’s Half-Acre,” which will leave you scratching your head for days! Come play one of the most enjoyable and well-maintained courses in the area!

This is courses is located in Central Myrtle Beach sister courses are Parkland and Heath but only played moorland. The course with the wind it could be hard to play some holes. Course Has several blind shot and many of the greens are elevated and hard to hold and read.

Mystical Golf Package
We had the same poor experience with legends golf myrtle beach so we change our package to Mystical Golf – Witch, Wizard and ManOwar that included Lunch and 2 drinks and it was perfect. All courses are on the same resort so it was convenient. Impressive courses especially the witch which was my favorite! There are other choices for golf vacation packages so you don’t to settle for a frustrating travel vacation.

Legends Golf Myrtle Beach Worst Course Ever!
Felt like herded cattle! They constantly preach that they are a Resort and that justifies the 5+ hour rounds. Sorry…that’s a lame answer. No Marshall’s to keep groups moving. Makes for a painfully slow round. Two of our three days, we teed off at 7:30. Breezed thru the first 9….only to have a 3 hour back 9 because they start groups from both sides. Very cost effective place to come with friends…but not a fan!

Tough Bastard
When all was said and done Pete Dye got it right when comes to his Moorlands course. He has built a 6700 yard course that will rival 7400 yard courses because of the raised greens, forget everything else on the course.
