Legends has a total of five amazing courses 3 onsite and 2 offsite. The offsite courses are about 45 minutes from the legends resort. Each course has it’s own personality offering its own unique feel and challenges. The three on resort courses are fantastic with huge greens and massive bunker complexes makes the courses pretty breathtaking. The Three courses on Legends Resorts are located in Central Myrtle Beach – 10 minutes from the airport. And the debate continues as to which course is the most challenging..many say Moorland is the most difficult because of raised greens however there is also golfers who say that the Parkland course is by far the best and most challenging. And other players that say Parkland was the hardest but Moorland was their favorite. But the only way to know is to experience the legends courses your self.
The Heathland Course was designed by retro-traditionalist architect Tom Doak, so it has many echoes of English and Scottish courses, including sculpted mounding and difficult bunkers.
The Moorland Course is a P.B. Dye design from 1990 that some have compared to the PGA West Stadium Course. Large areas of natural growth, sand, water, and waste areas help make this a “target” course.
The Parkland Course is a Tom Doak design from 1992, offering tree-lined fairways, deep-faced bunkers and massive, multi-level greens.
The Heritage Course designed by Dan Maples and Larry Young in 1986, The course is on what once was a rice plantation. You’ll pass by a 19th-century cemetery of a “rice prince’s” family. There are countless 300-year-old Spanish-moss covered live oaks and residual ponds that once irrigated rice.
Oyster Bay Consistently ranked by Golf Digest as one of the country’s top courses, Oyster Bay features two island greens, marsh-oriented holes, rolling fairways with generous landing areas and sizeable undulating greens.

Courses have beautiful layouts
A less crowded time to play golf courses is in mid September just prior to prime season. The weather is perfect usually less humid but still warm and again less crowded.

Over Booking - 6+ hours
It seems like every legends course over books. We had booked an afternoon round at Kings North and couldn’t make it so our morning round at moorland took so long over 6 hours to finish that is not how a golf course is suppose to operate.
