Legends Moorland

Legends Moorland course is fun to play because it is different than traditional course with a Par of 72. The challenge at Moorland rests primarily with its greens, which are among the largest and most undulating in SC. This course measures 6,799 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 128 and a 73.1 course rating.

Legends Parkland

Legends Parklands is a diversity of wetlands hazards, along with deep-faced bunkers, generous fairways, minimal rough and immense greens. You will be stunned by the natural beauty with contoured, tree-lined fairways, vast natural areas, deep-faced bunkers and massive, multi-level greens and shocked by the amount of challenge that comes packing with Parkland. This course features 7,170 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The courses rating is 74.3 and it has a slope rating of 131.

Legends Heathland

Legends Heathland course  is a complex facility features 6.785 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 72.2 and it has a slop rating of 127. Most of the holes have no trees on them, providing a visual presentation like no other course around. The challenge and difficulty of this course comes primarily for the unobstructed breeze that wafts constantly over the course, and the strategically placed bunkers and lush, deep rough that closely border all fairways. The greens are bent grass and the fairways are Bermuda.

Heritage Club

Designed by dan Maples and Larry Young in 1986 and built on two historic rice plantations along the picturesque Waccamaw River, few courses capture the beauty and charm of the Southern landscape as well. Incorporating centuries old live oaks, lakes and marshes, this course follows the land’s natural contours and features wide rolling fairways with spacious undulating greens. You’ll pass by a 19th-century cemetery of a “rice prince’s” family. There are countless 300-year-old Spanish-moss covered live oaks and residual ponds that once irrigated rice.

The course reeks of the Old South upon arrival with a monstrous, two-story, plantation-estate-looking, white-pillared clubhouse and vivid flowering plants across the front. Those modern-day automotive contraptions are parked at a discrete distance and a shuttle ferries golfers and bags.

The par-71 course is missing a par 5 on the front, but it still exceeds 7,000 yards from the tips and is 5,201 yards from the reds.

The course gives you one warm-up hole before it throws a creative par-5 second hole at you. The second hole offers two fairways, the safer but longer route to the right avoids the water carry until a short chip shot to the green, or the shorter but more perilous left fairway that requires a good drive and strong second shot for a nice, dry, short iron to the elevated green over a raft of bunkers.

Oyster Bay
